China National Heavy Machinery Corporation (CHMC) reached a contract on a 500 kV transmission and transformation project with Pakistan National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDC) on June 3.

To serve an area from Thar to Matiari in Sindh province, Pakistan, this double circuit line project has a contract price of $60 million.

The contract initiates CHMC’s entrance into the Pakistani electrical market, a strategic part of the One Belt and One Road Initiative.
